Bubble surfing

i have had my axie, Milky Way, for 6 weeks now and everything is fine, except i noticed that she was flicking her gills so i purchased an air pump. i have installed it in my tank and for the first 2 days she was really cautious about it, but i came home tonight and she is "surfing the bubbles" she hovers up and down them and puts her face in them or hangs in the bubble stream. it is really funny to watch. she is showing no signs of stress, but is this normal behaviour.

Take a look at some old threads.. Many of us have noticed that axies like the ride the bubble roller coaster, and that they like to pile on top of each other when there is tonnes of space.. Its very normal axie behaviour!

My Dragoon II does that... he floats close to my Under gravel filter then sits there once his nose bumped into the top of the filter then he gulps up the bubbles!

He always flicks his gills... well not always *laughs*

that picture was when she had lost all of her gills, but they are growing back so fast. she is my little baby, she is leaning on the side of her tank, posing i assume. i cant believe how attached i am to my milkyway. she is so cute and i love the fact that she knows me cause when my husband comes in the room she just stares but when i come in she gets really excited only cause i feed her, ha ha.

He he... my axie just stare at my mum when he pops up to the top of the water then gulps up water and floats to the bottom. When I come in and opens the lid, he starts floating around and stands on his back legs probably begging for Brine Shrimps!! I give him a little play where he chases my finger while walking on his back legs!! He loves that.
