Question: Bump on head near eye

My axolotl has been doing well from when I got him (using the male form as I do not know if it is male or female yet) until yesterday I noticed a bump on his head. So far It has not got any bigger, but I do think it hurts him because when I was feeding him a piece hit his head and he went swimming away fast and came back to eat.

I know pictures are better to use to see what it could be, but he has not cooperated just yet. I will try to upload some soon. You might be able to see a small lump on my profile picture.

TL;DR, there's not really anything to worry about. Sometimes there's just a fluid build-up under the skin. Though, if it seems that it's painful for him, it's probably an injury that's healing. Take a look around your tank and try to find anything that might have caused an injury, and remove it.
