I'm looking for a salamander for my daughter. One that doesn't get too big, and is colorful. Any suggestions on reputable online stores?

It depends on what you can provide.
As for reputable places to buy, there is a For Sale Section that I will link in this post, ads for various salamanders/newts from people on this site are posted there, all of the animals that are offered for money are Captive Bred.

- Temperature, Aquatic vs Terrestrial, How big the tank/tub is, etc. And most, if not all of salamanders need to be fed live worms, chopped, or whole depending on size(nightcrawler/earthworm).
