Does anyone know any reliable websites where pothos can be purchased? Thanks for the help.

google?
sorry not to be helpful but pothos is easily acquired... i can get it at any local garden, home depot/lowes/ace/searsHW, hell i can even steal some clipings from plants @ work

i couldn't imagine what it cost to ship what cost at the most $5 at homedepot. even at this time of year large hardware places like homedepot with a plant section should have it in stock it's very popular and grows well even in the the lowlit cold homedepot warehouses yearlong. if it's new seedlings you could get it for as low as $2 the larger multi stalk tend to cost $5 and up

pothos is pretty damn hardy that if you know someone who already has some you can *easily* pull out a clipping with roots, wash it, plant it well in a tank and it will thrive. all the pothos in my tanks was gathered this way(from mom's plant and yes clippings i stole from work)

I buy mine at the garden center. I rinse it well and plant it for a few weeks in fertilizer-free dirt, then transfer it to my tanks.

Or I clip some from my mom's! It grows fabulously from clippings.

^^^hell, you don't even hafta do that. you can put pothos directly into the tank. pothos will grow on/in ANYTHING!

Chris, I think Kasie plants the pothos in fertilizer free soil not to root them or anything, but rather to help get rid of any toxic chemicals that may be on a newly purchased plant, such as fertilizers, leaf shine, etc. But ya, pothos does certainly grow just about anywhere - some is doing great in my Pachytriton tank at 63F and about 3 hours of bright light a day (less if its cloudy).

i don't even see why you would need to do that. i would just wash it off in some water that's been declorinated and stick it in. the ferts in the plant shouldn't cause a problem to the newts unless they decide they want some salad.
