I've heard a lot about people making clay pots for tanks but I don't have those resources I was wondering if I could just buy a pot and put it in the tank with an Axolotl, if so which brand is the best to use?

Id be interested in the advice for this also. Trying to kit out my Pancho's tank.

I have 3 tanks right now! The two larger ones have medium sized clay pots and my small guys have 2 tiny clay pots! I just wash them very well before putting them in the tanks.

Terracotta pots are safest, as they haven't been glazed or painted and won't leach anything into your tank. They're what I use in all of my tanks!

Anything food safe will be fine. The only things to avoid would be antique pottery with lead paint.
