C. orientalis juvies/subadults

Nate - Are the lateral line system a characteristic of orientalis or is it the whitish colour of the pores?
Which Urodeles have a lateral line system?

"Almost all urodeles that possess a lateral-line system as larvae retain a complete lateral-line system, including neuromasts and ampullary organs, after metamorphosis. Only Salamandra and Chioglossa lose most of their lateral-line afferents and presumably all lateral-line organs around metamorphosis."

Btw anyone has access to this article?

Joseph - I know the pet shop owner, he wouldn't lie(at least not for below 100 euros, hehe). He believes it is CB orientalis. I haven't had the time to go see him to get the details of his supplier yet.

funny, i bought the same looking newts in chinatown, new york, and they were markted as cb orientalis as well. i swore, i saw the same ones in petco... labelled as cb orientalis.... is this a new species or simply a variation of a previous one?

I just think they look a little different when kept terrestrial, we don't see much photos of terrestrial orientalis really.
