If "sonoran" means "Ambystoma californiense" then you're absolutely right.

They had a few pickled Tarichas, but no live ones.

Lovely tiger! Based on what I saw at the CAS, I think someone on their staff must be seriously into caudates.

Ha-ha.

Tarichas are lovely, I was surprised they didn't showcase them. The Hotspot theme emphasized endangered species, so perhaps that was why.

Jen, it is an amazingly well-maintained collection. They have an incredible amount of things that they don't keep on continual display.

I'm working on getting photos of those C. wolterstorffi in the CAS collection Tim, really.
