hi, we've got a leucistic axie, we've had her since march. Over the last week she has swollen in size, not overly but noticable. Its effected her whole body face and legs, at the moment her face looks a bit like a frogs. When I checked on her this morning she also has what looks like a water blister on her fin. Also I've noticed when I feed her she doesn't seem like she's in full control of her swimming she's a bit all over the place. If anyone can shed any light and offer advice for us regarding these symptoms that would be great.

She's in a 150ltr tank, sand substrate live and plastic plants and a few hideys including a coconut. ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 10 - 20ppm. We feed her a mixture of blood worm, brineshrimp and black mosquito larvae.

If you need any more info please ask, I will keep checking throughout the day.

many thanks

Michelle and Rich

If the face and neck is swollen, it's likely bloat. That is something that should be accessed by a veterinarian.

It most definitely sounds like bloat and she needs to see a vet (easier said than done, I know from experience).
