Question: Can anyone recommend an earthworm supplier?

I'm struggling to find an earthworm supplier.

Can anyone recommend one?

That is fine to dig for short time keeping or for immediate food. Most often the worms you might dig are not the best ones for culturing. I like to culture them and have a good supply of many sizes on hand. When you culture you can be certain what the worms have eaten and that they are chemical and pesticide free. I like Eisenia hortensis but only know good suppliers in the U.S.

Yeah, but you also raise and breed and keep a TON of animals. I can't imagine having an entire worm farm setup for 1 or 2 Axolotls.

I had a wormery when I had just one axolotl.... once its established its free food instead of keep buying them or digging around ( i live in an extremely clay heavy area)
Wormery's come in different sizes.. I just have a huge tub I maintain but am looking at a 60l wormery for £20 on ebay

There are a ton of places online but I just went to my local bait and tackle shop.I think Wormsdirect online have a good reputation

I used wormsonline and bought their smallest amount and a wormkeeper, so we'll see how it goes. He had better LIKE worms now! hahaha

You're right about that. You can raise earthworms in anything from a small one gallon tub to a giant worm bin. I've raised them off and on since I was a teen. I have 3 bins set up outside and one bin in my basement.

Do a web search for "buy earthworms uk". WormsDirect is the most often mentioned uk supplier. I bought a .25kg packet some months ago and added to my wormery, still going strong
