They look like grubs. Grubs are fine as a treat but if they have a hard head you'll want to take that off.

I dont see a problem with it expect they can be fattening. Just dont use them as a staple diet.

I agree, but maybe just crush the head rather than cut it off ( like I did once ) because then the grub pretty much falls apart...its insides come out, and it just becomes a big pile of goop.

Grubs and maggoty type larvae are high in fat, so you shouldn't be using them as a staple uness you're trying to fatten up a rescue.
