I have a 35gal tank for my one axolotl. Can I get a Pleco that is his size or a little larger to put in the tank? Or will they not get a long. If problems will likely arise it's not worth it.

Thanks!

Please don't do that.

There is a whole page dedicated to the nightmare stories of mixing species. Plecos and catfish make some of the more horrific stories.

With their long spines - its difficult for the axies to eat them and they WILL try to eat them if they are smaller. And if the pleco is larger - it will attempt to latch onto the axolotl at some point and will cause damage or death.
