Can I trim my axolotl’s tail?

I saw on the tail end of my axie there is some extra fin like stuff grown. I want to cut a small part of its tail to get rid off the extra fin. I know axolotl have strong regeneration power. But just want to confirm it will be ok with that.

I don’t know what it could be, but unless you are sure it’s dangerous, I would leave it be. Just because an axie can regenerate doesn’t mean we should cut stuff off, you know what I mean?
