Can i leave chopped earthworms or krill or blood worms in Stellys bowl for 24 hours and then remove to add new food? I feed him before bed but if there's some there in the a.m I don't want to waste it.
Same with giving him fresh in the morning. Can I leave it till the next morning and then take out and out in fresh? Is this bad for the water?

Hello, this is just my opinion and I tong fed mostly but if my guys don't eat the food right away I take it out. I use tongs or a turkey baster and what they don't eat I remove within 10mins or so. As long as they are actively eating I would leave it in, but once they lose interest - I would take it out. Some are shy eaters and then I use a fed tray or plate/saucer. I think the general rule is if a axolotl doesn't eat the item within 30 mins take it out. Like I said just my opinion.

You asked - Is it bad for the water? It can be, that really depends on your filtration, maintenance, water parameters and number of axolotls in your tank. But uneaten food can foul your water.

Thanks.

Sometimes he only eats one chunk of a night crawler and sometimes he will eat the whole thing. If I leave it in his bowl, he will often graze on it during the day. He's odd...

He's about 5-6 months old now and 6" long. I'm wondering about doing every other day feedings? And do I do just one night crawler each time? I don't want to waste them.

He got a new cave and refuses to leave it... I can just imagine the poops I will find in there on water change day...

If he's around 5-6 months, and 6" long, can I go to every other day feedings? Like, one night crawler every other day? And then some blood worms at night on feeding day? And when can he go to every 3 days a week?
