I was wondering if it's possible for my new Iberian ribbed newt to live in the same tank as other species. Are there some particular types that would fit? Would a neotenic member of the same species be suitable?

Thanks

Small ones can live with other species temporarily. Their voracious appetite and breeding behavior will become a problem as they mature. Most salamanders do best in a one species tank.

Mine is a three-year-old female, measuring roughly 5 inches. I would probably feed them separately. If I introduced another species now, would she get used to it as she got older, and therefore not behave so aggressively towards it?

No.
