Can mold harm my salamander?

Hi guys, sometimes the coconut substrate that i have gets moldy, can that white mold harm my salamander in any way?

Do you get rid of it right away when it does? Does it happen often?

Almost everyday happens, i though placing springtales would help, couldn t find any so idk what to do or what to treat my coconuts into which it lives, they get moldy on the outside

I would change substrates.
