Hi, I was feeding my two axolotls with some mealworms (since my local pet shop said it was ok to feed them that) and one of my axies had a hard time swallowing a slightly bigger worm. I tried to get it off her mouth since the tip was still showing but she still sucked it all in and now she's barely moving except her head that goes up and down sometimes. Is she still trying to get the food down? did i hurt her? will she be ok? :(

I got both these little fellows less than a week ago and i'm still trying to learn how to properly take care of them. I'm constantly concerned if whether i'm doing things right or not. :)

Don't ask that pet shop person any more questions. Come to this web site or axolotl.org for information. The hared exoskeloton of mealworms can cause blockages in axolotls.
