can newt digest the mucilage in chia seeds? if they could that would be great because they are high in nutrients and could be used as a gelling agent in newt food. they are exstremely high in omega-3 fatty acids, their oil is 64% of it

how about an earth worm? Using worms as a staple diet with other food items here and there will get them all the nutrients they need.

i didn't mean feed feed them whole chia seeds directly, i ment grind them up and use them as a gelling agent for homemade newt food (maybe i should have said that, sorry), and i thought because they have much more nutrients than gelatine or agar, and have just as gelling properties as them, it would be a superior gelling agent
