Can't stop floating???

I'm a bit worried about one of my juvenile axolotls. The last couple days he
s spent most of his time floating at the top of his tank. He seems to float at an angle and also seems incapable of keeping himself at the bottom of the tank. Any advice? :(
 
What temperature is your tank at? Also, what types of food are you feeding him? Juvies are prone to digestive issues, so it might be something as simple as gas. Is he eating and pooping regularly?

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
