From what I can determine, I can't customise the date pages, just the image that's shown with them. I could possibly add some text below the photo but obviously it wouldn't be on the calendar days themselves.

I think I see a winner or 2 already by the way.

I love the crested too. To me, they always look... startled, like if you scare a cat, and all their hair stands on end.
