So it's time to go up to a bigger tank. My little sweetie is not a baby any more, and he's not long for his current tank. He's just so darned happy, and healthy that I feel really hesitant about changing anything. He is gorgeous, and eats so well, and is awfully content-seeming. Any advice for making a switch less traumatic for little Gilligan? I will obviously be transferring his current sand, plants and hidey-holes, plus adding a few new ones for the bigger tank. Ditto with transferring his current water. I'll still be religiously doing the turkey baster clean-up, as I do now, plus his regular 25% water changes. I just so much don't want to upset him. I have a deal on a great second hand tank, plus stand, and it seems to be the thing to do, but I'd really appreciate any advice.

Thanks!

Hey Fiona,

sounds like a good plan to me, more room to roam would make Gillian happy I'm sure. Transferring the sand, hideys, plants and water is the way to go, just remember to check your water parameters as the tank might go into a mini-cycle.
Any other advise you would need don't hesitate to ask.
