Well I got my aquarium chiller up & running this afternoon. Took us awhile cause the unit didn't come with tubing so meant countless visits to warehouses to find the proper tubing fittings. Anyway it works sweet & its down to 24 degress now which has but me at ease since we had a 40 degree temperature today the hottest of summer ever. I will be taking is down to 18 degrees by knocking it down 2 degress every afternoon.

Besides that I also bought another axolotl so I got 6 in total in my tank. I've called it Brown-Bub cause he looks like my wild type looking Chub-Chub. Anyway theres still plenty of room for them & they love their dinner time. I was wondering since I love my axolotls so much what would be the limit amount of axolotls I could have in my tank? I want plenty of room for them so they don't feel costrophoebic. My tank is 6 foot, 18 inch wide & 2 foot deep. At present it holds roughly 400 litres. Just wondering if I fell in love with another axolotl could I buy it or would 6 be the max for it?

By the size of your tank you can probably have more than 6 axolotls.

I know you're eager for more additions to your tank - seems to be a normal thing once you get hooked on axolotls - but you do really need to QUARANTINE them for minimum of 30 days rather than just adding them to your current tank. Each addition that you add that hasn't been quarantined could be bringing an illness into your tank of current residents, which is what you definitely don't want, which is why you need to observe the quarantine period to ensure they are indeed healthy.
