I have been raising a bunch of babies from my leucistic female and chimera male. There is one baby that has caught my eye since hatching. At what point will I be able to tell for sure if I have any chimeras. Or anything unusual. Could this little one be a chimera/or dwarf / or deformed. One eye is smaller than the other and appears not to glow as much. Also one set of gills definitely has pinkish tips and is smaller than the other set on the other side of his head. I don't know if he will survive he doesn't appear to be thriving like his siblings. He is eating though so maybe. I know there is such thing as a chimera that is the same colour on both sides could this be what he is or could his colour on one side stay the same as it is and one get darker as he gets older.

What ever came of this one? I had a similar one and he didn't make it :(

I would say deformed, it's not completely split down the middle
Edit- I realize that leucistics are still dark when first born, it would be interesting to see this guy fully grown. I feel like it would have a severe mental problem

Images aren't that clear but it does look an odd shape.

Axolotls don't have 'mental problems' as far as I know, just physical deformities
