my 2 chinese fire bellies laid some eggs over the weekend. the first went bad but then i got a further 4 which were fine. they were laid 2 days ago and i was wondering a) how long approximatly will they take to hatch cause im going away on friday and comeing back tuesday and i don;t want anything happening while im away. b) how do i raise the young? i've put the eggs in a seperate tank which is shallow water with a little land and some weed by the way.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
