Many culturists caught in big problem, many giant salamanders got very strange disease, their lip and the skin on leg and tail cankered day to day, this disease has strong infectivity, many culturists’ salamanders have died. We have tried to use some antibiotic medicines but not too much help.
Please help! Much appreciate!

Have you had them tested for Chytrid?

Thanks for your reply, actually, this is the first time I heard Chytrid fungal, I just searched on google, there is little of information and report about Chytrid in China, absolutely, we have no idea about Chyrid testing and treatment. Is there a simple way to test Chytrid?

Sounds like a flesh eating infection. I saw a documentary on hellbenders once that showed animals with missing digits, open wounds, etc, all clearly caused by some kind of infection (and definitely not by aggression), so it´s entirely possible i suposse that andrias could be susceptible to this kind of problem too.

Like Dawn says, get samples to a vet.

Seen it as well and it looks the same.
