Chunk missing from tail

This is probably not too much to worry about but I thought I'd post it just incase. Last night I noticed my melanoid had a small (about 1/2cm) triangular chunk missing from the top of his tail. He and his albino companion have been living happily together for about 8 months now, with no sign of fighting - infact they seem to get along really well. I'm guessing the albino took a nip at him for some reason; but I also wondered if there was a disease (like, say, finrot in fish) that I should be concerned about?

If it's a bite, I hear axies heal pretty well, so I'm hoping I see improvement over the next few weeks. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure the other axie nipped your melanoid's tail. Just keep the water clean and it will heal pretty good.

Cheers. How annoying ... they were best mates until now! Oh well, at least I get to see the famous axie healing talent in action.

Yep, as previously said it's most likely just a nip and will heal up just fine These things can happen no matter how well tankmates get along unfortunately, at feeding time for example. Mine (for whatever reason!) occasionally sit on top of each other and end up with nips! But it's really nothing to worry about.
