Clay pots?

I've seen tons of people use clay pots in there fish tanks. Got me thinking of amazing set up for my Fire Belly Newts. Before I go out to buy some are they safe for Newts?

I've used the terracotta (reddish coloured ones) plant pots for years and haven't had a problem. Just be careful of sharp edges if you use broken ones.

Clay pots are a mainstay in the hobby. Just rinse them off well first.

Very true, without clay pots and turkey basters the hobby would collapse!
