tiger salamander clicking
One of my blotched tiger salamanders recently started make a click sound during feeding. he’s seems healthy and has a good weight but I was wondering if this is some kind of symptom of something? If not, does anyone know why he might be making that noise. Just to be clear he doesn’t open his mouth to click, he does with his throat.

That's interesting, never knew they could vocalize? I've heard the Pacific giant can vocalize. Does he make that noise before or after dinner? Does he only vocalize in you presence? Sit somewhere out of site and listen. Is it defensive? Enquiring minds want to know. Thanx for sharing. Maybe he just had the hiccups or something stuck in his throat?

He only does it while I’m feeding him but mainly when I feed the other tiger salamander I have him with. It doesn’t seem a defensive thing rather a strive for attention.

That's neat. Thanks for sharing. The do seem to have their own personalities. The smaller of my mavortium have the most outgoing, personalities. If anyone else experiences this, please share.

My Califoniense seems to be a lot less outgoing and seems to burrow more than my other one.
