If you have good water pressure, you could purchase a "python no spill clean and fill" to vacuum your gravel with. I have used them for years. Do a google search for it for more info.

Since your tank is new and your gravel was adding to clouding your water a little it sounds like... I was wondering if you had presoaked/rinced your gravel in clean cold water before putting it in the tank? I usually soak new gravel in a bucket with frequent rinsing for 2 or 3 days before putting it in a tank. Even though the gravel says "will not cloud water" it usually does.

Not at all Lauren, she's quite happy actually and the current doesn't reach the bottom yeh go for an undergravel...
my girlfriend uses an undergravel and a corner one likes yours as well and it works fine.

if u wanna see a pic of my tank theres a pic in the gallery section in the thread: My new setup or my new tank setup somethin like dat

Nathan - I installed the underground filter yesterday, so thanks for the advice

How long should it take for the water to clear? I added about five more gallons when I set it up, since the tank had only been half-filled, but it's still ugly looking. I think the bacteria may have bloomed again though.
