ok have a 75 gallon acrylic seaclear bowfront. with 5 axolotls and 5 trap door snails. from the front aquarium looks clean, look at tank from the side looks real cloudy. have ammonia meter inside tank reading good and took some water out and put in a clear glass and water looked clear. so what i,m i missing? why cloudy from side view but clean from front view and glass of water from tank looks like it came right out of the faucet

Go check out the "Water Clouudy" post in the "Tank set-ups, filters, substrate" section.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
