Cold Temperature and Morph

I currently have some C.O. Morphs about 2 months to 2 weeks old. And now in Canada, it is getting cold even in the house. My basement is at around 65F - 68F. And I am concerned if the low temperature have to do with some of my morphs refusing to eat or being inactive. (or Maybe it has nothing to do with the temperature and only like most morphs that just simply refuse to eat)

But I do have some morphs that enjoy my handfeeding.

I may be wrong but that sounds like a fairly good temp for your newts. What are you trying to feed them. I've read from other posts that bloodworms are a good starter at this stage. Blackworms worked well for my C. cyanurus morphs too.

well. I am feeding them fruit flies and springtails and chopped Earthworm.
Most of them do okay. just a few of them not very active.

I was worried about the temperature because I thought that most newt babies come in spring and as they grow older, it should get hotter in the summer. But instead, it is a winter.

Actually, they loves my chopped earthworm much more than my frozen bloodworm.
