This is Francis my new axi, does anyone know what colour he is? He's my first :happy:. Sorry about the poor photo quality my camera isn't that great.

Oh my, your glass is so clean! It looks like Francis is stanind in the middle of the room.

Francis looks like a lovely-tailed wild type to me.

Thank you. I'd cleaned his tank the day before I took the photo, it does look like he's jnust in the middle of the room. I brought him a 3ft tank today because that one's a bit small, the bigger one's going to be a bit harder to keep clean though haha.

I love his tail :happy:. Thanks for the help, i don't know much about colour types yet but that sounds good to me haha.

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
