Question: Compost worms

Hi, I've had a compost worm farm for a few months now , I'm planning to buy an axolotl in a few months an was wondering if these worms would be ok to feed? And if so what other food source should I provide or should I just use these a staple?

What kind of worm are they? If they're earthworms they should be fine but I know people often have trouble getting their axolotls to eat red wrigglers - they just don't always like the taste! Earthworms are a great staple diet for them but you can also give them frozen foods such as bloodworm. Steer clear of frozen items such as brine shrimp and/or daphnia as axolotls tend to ignore them and they foul the water ridiculously fast! Soft trout/salmon pellets are another great option.

Also, washed prawns, occasional cricket etc. I have red wrigglers (thats what come in all compost bins) earthworms dont compost well, but i have fed them to my axie with very little trouble.

I tried compost worms with mine today and they just spat them up again.

I feed my axies the worms from my worm farm (red wrigglers), and they eat them no problems.

compost worms are red wrigglers, also known as tiger worms. axies sometimes tend to spit them out as they secrete a foul liquid when provoked as a anti-predatory measure.

I get around this by washing them well in some tank water, and then prodding them abit with the forceps to get them to secrete their stuff. you'll see the worm give of a cloud in the water when they do. then, wash them a bit more and feed to your monsters.
