I recently got a Fluval g3 filter. It is telling me the conductivity is out of range and I can't figure out what that means. I have looked over the manual and searched the internet. Does anyone know what that means?

Hi Ryanne,
I don't have that filter but I looked at the manual quickly. You might have to go into the operational setting and adjust the conductivity points to a wider range. Look on page 14-15 of the manual.

Hi Kingfisher,
Any idea on what the proper conductivity level is for an axolotl tank? I think I found how to fix it but I need to set parameters and I don't know what they should be.

Hi Ryanne,
THat's a pretty fancy filter! I just use my canister filter to remove axolotl poop.
I not actually sure what the parameters should be. I think conductivity is used for saltwater tanks. The level of conductivity increases as more minerals get into the water. Since axolotl want just clean fresh water, maybe if you put the conductivity points to the lowest setting on minimum parameter and the maximum to the highest, it may not trigger an alarm. And maybe turn off the alarm.
Hope that helps!

Thank you Kingfisher! I changed the parameters and its all good now:) I appreciate your help.
