Hi! Can someone please help me with some advices? I have 2 lotls, both of them are eating normally they have appetite, both are really active. I dont know the age of them (the pet owner didnt know to tell me- but i assume they have around ~4 months-12 cm) . None of them are floating, the water parameters are all good, temp 18C, tank substrate is sand. My concern is that one of them, (he/she idk) is eating really well, active, curios, it seems contipated as the belly is bigger then the other one. The problem is that i didn see it pooping. The other one i saw it pooping right before i fed them. Should i be worried? What can i do to help? Maybe fridging?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
