Crickets

I was feeding crickets to my oscar the other day, and I thought I'd see if Neptune and Neville wanted one. They loved them! They were practically chasing my hand around the tank to get the cricket between my fingers!

This morning I offered them another one each, and while Neville didn't seem to be interested, Neptune can't seem to get enough!

Has anyone else ever fed crickets to their 'lotls? Is this wise? I thought I'd ask for your thoughts before I continued to give them crickets.

I feed mine crickets occasionaly. They all love them. They probably have about 3-4 medium sized crickets.

People say they dont really have any nutritional value in them but can be used as a supplement food so your axies wont starve.

I feed mine a mix (when they want it) i will feed 2 crickets and 2 earthworms to each of my 4 adults.

Veronica - Crickets are an ok snack. They probably shouldn't be the staple food source. There is a thread that talks about the nutritional value and gut loading of crickets here:
