Hi everyone,

So..here's the question. I know that a sure sign of stress is a curled tail. I've been trying to determine if my two are stressed or if they like to curl their tails once in a while.

I've been looking at the picture example on the axolotl site..and I still can't tell. So I need opinions please!

Guy sometimes sits at the bottom with his tail curled around..but not all of the time. Sometimes it looks like a soft right angle ( If that makes any sense?)

Is this normal? I've seen some pictures in the member's galley that look similar to what Guy is doing...but I wanted to make sure.

Thanks

Axies do curl their tales. It is bendy like a dog or cats tail. But its the tip that you have to be worried about. Is the tip curled?

In terms of stress, a 'curved tail' is the equivalent of a hooked tail. The tip of the tail gets a shape to it like a fishhook.

WOW guys very helpful info i have no idea that it was a sign of stress!
