Cycled my tank, i have to decide between a free axolotl, or a 50$ Amphiuma. i LOVE both.

I have enough money for both, and my parents love both, amphiuma species is harder, and axolotls are cuter, i just cant decide! they are both so cute and im able to buy both, but the axolotl is free because i got it from a nice breeder.

What are the specifications of the aquarium?

Never kept one, but amphiuma grow significantly larger then an axolotl and have significantly more difficult care requirements. Among the problems they need a weighted lid, can grow 3 feet long, and will require 100+ gallons by the time they reach adulthood, can uproot plants, and bite.

Sooo yeah, between those two, get the axolotl because it's frankly a better pet as opposed to a scientific curiosity.
