Cynops cyanurus from QianMain - breeding

Hi,

some weeks ago I got a new cyanurus group from QianMain, near WuDen, southwest YuNan.
Last Sunday they began to lay first eggs (22/18°C, day/night). Now I saw that the eggs seem to be fertile.

Yep, this egg is fertile:

The eggs of this group seem to be smaller than those of my Chemnitz cyanurus.

Hi Paul, those look great, finally C. cyanurus with locality data! These would be C. c. yunnanensis too, for certain, judging by the cloaca and the distribution.

Hi Wouter, in my opinion they neither look like C. c. yunnanensis nor like nominat cyanurus.
In their light coloured phase they look like the newts imported last year which should be chenggongensis and a tendency to dorso laterale orange spots.
Some have orange cloaca, some have a dark band there.

It sure would be nice if somebody could list up the distinctive features of the cyanurus that are around right now, maybe in a table, to be able to see clearly at a glance the differences among them.

Also, you wrote "QianMain, near WuDen, southwest YuNan." The romanization seems strange, but I assume you refer to Yunnan Province. Still, I fail to see on my fairly detailed map any place called "WuDen" or "QianMain" or anything similar. Indeed, I can't find either of those place names in a Google search. Can you confirm what the spellings are in Pinyin?
