Dead Axolotl with a hard tail

My ax looks normal, but he is dead. He was on the bottom of the tank. Didn’t want to eat and when I grabbed him, his tail was hard and has blood around. Well, I’m not so sure he is dead. He looks paralyzed or dead. I put him in a bowl to observe if he is dead or in shock.

Are his arms folded inward?
How old is he?

like most animals axolotls go through rigor mortis when dead, this also includes the release of body fluids.
