I have some eggs that are at least three weeks old and haven't hatched yet. Some became milky looking and fuzzy and obviously died and are decomposing. However two of them are still perfectly developed, they just won't hatch. What do I do? Is there any way to save the two that haven't died??? Please help! :(

Three weeks is not such a long time if your water is cold. I'd seperate them from the bad eggs. Are they wriggling around in the eggs and do they have obvious gills etc? If they are very close to hatching you could always very carefully cut the outside of the egg and let them out. If they are healthy and moving around then I'm sure they will hatch by themselves in the next day or two.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
