Dead reason

Today, when i arrived at home i found one of my axies dead.
His body had large red spots and his mouth was bloated. There were no rocks in it only blue gravel. Can someone please say to me what the cause of his death maybe was?

blue gravel or blue sand?

if it's gravel then that's the likely culprit, although it wouldn't explain the red spots.

either way, please remove the gravel ASAP. very unsafe.

Blue sand, he was with his buddy in a tank in the livingroom because of the heat in my room.

if it wasn't gravel, I have no idea. I'm very sorry for your loss, though.
