Dendrobaena or Lobworms or garden worms?

Dendrobaena or Lobworms or garden worms? Or are they all the same?
Please help I'm not sure what to give my axi. He (I think) is eating 2+ blood worm cubes per day and still seems hungry, so I want to try worms but I'm not sure where to get them from.

Hi I get dendrobaena for my worms from a company called Worms Direct always come in good condition next day. I have 9 axies that eat them the axies are various sizes and i choose the small worms. Ideal for the axies,keep in soil and compost in a plastic covered fish tank and feed jacket potatoes.

I get dendros and lobs. The dendros are smaller so easier if you don't want to cut them up or if the axi isn't full grown yet. I tend to give my adults lobs. I get mine from the bait shop,

Also you can compost with dendros. So if you get a little kitchen wormery (or a garden one) you can 'grow your own'

You can easily breed Dendrobaena, so I'm keeping those. If you've got a good culture you'll never run out of worms.

I have been experimenting with growing my own, but it's on a small scale and I have two greedy axi,s so I have had to top up today. That and my two adults prefer the lobs (mainly I think because there bigger worms)

The dendro babies I got will hopefully feed my babie axi,s as they get bigger.

What is a good culture??

A good culture is one that is highly productive, one that gives you lots of worms.

Whether or not you have a good culture is usually dependent on how much effort you put into making a good culture. Luckily, worm bins are pretty easy.

Mine isn't smelly, and I have it in the kitchen

Maybe it's because I tend to give them plant matter ( from plants both aquatic and terrestrial, with only occasional vegi bits and pealings)

The only smell I really have is when you open the box it smells like good compost. A nice bit of dirt

Because I feed them soaked chicken pellets (for egg laying) the smell gets really horrible. But these pellets have got a lot of calcium in them.

Ok I got my worms but they are in the fridge -2 which my axie ate lol. So if I get a large plastic tuperware pot ( I have a 10L one in mind) fill with compost then add my 13 worms then add veg peelings and anything else you put on a compost pile (?), then this will create a good breeding ground for worms?
How long do I leave them to breed?
Also pls can you tell me how often I should feed my axie worms as it (not sure about sex yet) ate one yesterday and the day before and was very excited about its feeding time. Should I just let it have one a day?

Mainly depends on size of axi and size of worms.
If there full grown then I tend to give at least 2 dendros every couple of days.

My axie is about 15cm ;long, not sure how long that makes it.
