I was wondering if anyone could let me know if I crashed my cycle. I was told the tank I had was bigger than it was when I bought it so I added more ammonia than I should have and I only recently found out my tank was 30 and not 45. Any responses would be appreciated :)

You are not fully cycled yet but ammonia looks like 4ppm which is what you want

are you using heat and nitrifying bacteria supplement to help cycle?

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
