Sorry, wasn't sure if this was the correct forum, or if I should have put it under mole salamanders

I was curious if someone could explain the differences between axolotls and Anderson's salamanders? I know that they're different species, and I've read that they can't be housed together, though I was wondering if I could get a specific reason as to why?
Temperament, water requirements, diet?
Thanks! :D

I've housed them with axolotls before. The general consensus is not to mix species, and while similar, there are some differences. They're more active, more likely to hunt (better at catching fish), and prefer the water to be a bit cooler. They stay active at lower temps than axolotls do.

There are a few topics on the differences if you use the search bar,

If you're thinking of getting one, you'll have a hard (near impossible) time finding them in the US right now. Too many deaths, too little stock.
