My axolotl has anchor worms and the only safe treatment that I have found is dimilin. I'm just wondering how to use it. Do you leave the axolotl in the tank with the meds? Do you have to get the adult anchor worms removed or will they just die off? Thanks.

How horrible. Sorry I can't help but thought I'd bump your post up so others who may have info will see it. Do you know where the anchor worms came from?

I'm guessing feeder fish at the petstore. Thanks for bumping it btw.

My guess is you didn't get an answer because not many people have experience with anchor worms in axolotls. I'd try the dimilin at half strength and see what it does. If it doesn't clear up the problem go full strength. Their might be secondary infections due to wounds that need treated.

Be careful not to cure the disease and kill the patient. Keep away from feeder fish.
