Until recently, the presence of Tylototriton in Bhutan was more or less a 'rumor', although a couple of notes and a photograph appeared online in the last couple of years. A study of the distribution of the species has now been published. The article is free as part of a complete journal download, although the layout is a little confused at times. Sympatric amphibians, habitat, altitude, reproduction, and other data are presented, along with decent color photos and maps. It's worth noting the consistant appearance of Bhutan specimens, as compared to those in Nepal, West Bengal, and the type locality in western Yunnan, and the strongly dissimilar appearance as compared to other reported localities east of Myanmar.
