Question: Do I have too much water flow?

I noticed both of my axolotls have forward turning gills and was wondering if I maybe had too much water flow. I have a 10 gallon aquarium with a small hang on back filter on the lowest setting and a sponge filter. Is this too much? Also, it's worth noting that they are quite young(3.5 inches) and have only been in the tank for 2 days. Thanks in advance!

They may just sit that way, but you can try only using a sponge filter if you're concerned about the water flow. You may also want to check tank temp and parameters to make sure neither of those are causing stress.

Ph is around 7, no ammonia, no nitrates. I took the hang on filter out yesterday, no change. It might be the temperature, at about 22.5 Celsius now, trying to get it lower.
