Do my Marbled newts need UVB?

I recently got a pair of Marbled newt efts, I dont have any lighting with UVB and I haven't been able to find any real resources that state whether they need it, or if vitamin supplements with d3 every so often is ok

Nice, thanks for the information, I do have several grow lights for the plants in the bioactive paludarium they'll eventually be moving to once the water is cycled, but I've put pieces of paper over it to filter more light out, the goal is a tree cover vibe, so the plants get the light they need, but the newts stay out of bright light, I'll honestly probably be asking alot more questions later on, and I super appreciate the knowledge.

There’s no reason not to have a light for your plants. As long as you provide plenty of cover, the newts will hide when the light is on.

Oh yeah, they've got about 4 hides, 5 if they can get themselves under the cork round and not just inside it, it's a 55 gallon so I had a lot of choices, nice ground cover plants and all

Doesn't look like much from above lol, and getting a side view is tough cause of the glare, but it looks nice from the inside

Also if it isn't clear cause of all the pillow moss, I love moss lol, that and ferns, there are about 7 different types of fern

And they'll grow in giving much more cover for the newts eventually

Looks nice. They’ll have plenty of shade once the wandering jew fills in. Pothos provides shade too, and the newts will climb on it at night.
