Im getting an axolotl soon and i just want to ask if all of this sounds good.
iv'e got a 14g tank and im getting 1 axolotl i have a sponge filter i will probanly get a juvenile axolotl and i will feed him half a cube of blood worms a day or two medium earthworms and i will switch it around through the week i have a sand bottom and im getting real plants a have a hide for him i'm getting a test kit for the water evory 2 weeks im doing a 50% water change and ive got a thermometer my room is usually 18 degrees and if it get to hot im getting a clip on fan

Just with the water changes, axies are messy animals and a 25% change once a week would be better, especially with the higher temps.

Make sure the filter doesn't output water to hard, or else your axie could get stressed out due to watercurrents.
The rest sounds good!
Good luck with your axie, any pics on the tank for us to see? :D

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
