I had two Axies for about three months now, One was about 6 inches long, the other about 3. Just yesterday we realized the water got too hot when I wasn't home, and the smaller one started to look terrible. He wouldn't eat, he was floating, he was overall in bad shape. So I lowered the temperature down gradually but also as fast as I could. Needless to say, he didnt make it.
I checked the PH and the Ammonia and that isn't the issue. And the water temp is holding steady at 58-59 degrees now
My problem is, my other Axi is starting not to look so good. And I don't know why. Can anyone give any insight? I would really hate to lose my other Axolotl.
They are on a diet of frozen blood worms, the substrate is a children's play sand with no chemicals or anything in it. I use Aqueon dechlorniator. I do have two live plants in there. And I am using a filter made for the 20g long, that doesnt have an insane current.
